The Design and Technology department encompasses a variety of creative subjects at KS3, KS4 and KS5 as well as Social Science subjects at KS4 and KS5. Design and Technology encouraging students to problem solve, plan, develop ideas, create practical solutions and build on evaluation skills. We believe that through the subjects taught within the department students learn vital lifelong skills.

Keys Stage 3

All of the students have a double period of Design and Technology a week and will develop their skills in 4 different areas of our subject throughout the year on a curriculum rotation run over several weeks.

Key Stage 4

A wide range of subjects are offered at KS4 level developing on the skills learnt at KS3. These subjects include:

  • GCSE Child Development
  • GCSE Health and Social
