DofE Awards Night

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD'S EVENING WEDNESDAY 24TH MAY 2017

On Wednesday 24th May 2017 The Blyth Academy hosted a presentation evening event for students who had successfully completed a Duke of Edinburgh's Award over the past twelve months.

There was a fantastic turnout from students, staff, parents, governors and members of the community who helped to celebrate the phenomenal achievements made by students on their DofE journeys.

Special Awards were presented that were kindly funded by The Blyth Talking Newspaper Group. These Awards were for students who particularly excelled for their work in the local community in Blyth, for showing resilience and determination and for demonstrating leadership qualities whilst on their expeditions. One student also received a special award as a sign of the Academy's appreciation for the good humour and outstanding commitment he showed on his DofE journey.
