Sixth Form has a dedicated enrichment afternoon where students can take part in a range of non-qualification activities. Enrichment is an important part of post 16 study as it allows students to develop the wider skills needed to be successful in most careers and post 18 courses. Often when applying for University courses, higher apprenticeships or jobs, applicants are competing with people who have the same qualifications and experience. Enrichment activities can make the difference by demonstrating other skills.

Enrichment activities on offer in Sixth Form include:

  • Duke of Edinburgh Award
  • Sign Language Courses
  • First Aid Courses
  • Careers guidance and events
  • Extended Project Qualification
  • Reading Champions
  • Placements supporting in lessons
  • Placements in primary school PE lessons

Maths GCSE resit lessons also take place during enrichment time for students who need to take this qualification.
